1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, software development kits (SDKs) in apps, and local storage. They let a site work properly, remember your preferences, keep you secure, and — where you allow it — measure usage or show you relevant marketing.
We group cookies into four categories: strictly necessary, functional, analytics, and marketing.
2. Your choices and consent
Strictly necessary cookies are always on — the Platform cannot work securely without them, and they do not require consent. For all other cookies (functional, analytics and marketing), we ask for your consent through our cookie banner before they are set, and you can change your mind at any time.
3. The cookies we use
The main cookies and technologies on the Ticket Monkey Platform are:
| Name / provider | Purpose | Category | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ticket Monkey session & security tokens (first party) | Keep you logged in, maintain your basket/checkout, and protect against cross-site request forgery | Strictly necessary | Session – up to a few hours |
Keycloak identity cookies (AUTH_SESSION_ID, KEYCLOAK_SESSION, KEYCLOAK_IDENTITY) | Securely authenticate organiser log-in to the management app | Strictly necessary | Session – up to 1 day |
Cloudflare (__cf_bm, cf_clearance) | Bot detection, security and reliable delivery of the site | Strictly necessary | 30 minutes – 1 year |
Stripe (__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid) | Process payments and prevent payment fraud at checkout | Strictly necessary | Session – 1 year |
| Cookie preference (first party) | Remember your cookie consent choices | Functional | Up to 12 months |
| Font Awesome / Google Fonts | Display icons and fonts correctly; served from a content delivery network | Functional | Session / cached |
We do not currently set our own analytics or advertising cookies on our marketing website. If that changes, we will update this table and they will only be set with your consent.
4. Cookies on event pages (set by organisers)
Event organisers can add their own tracking pixels — such as Meta Pixel, Google Analytics 4 or Google Tag Manager — to their event pages to measure their own campaigns. Where they do, those analytics and marketing cookies are set only with your consent, and the organiser is the data controller for them. You can manage your consent for these through our cookie banner in the same way.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
As well as our cookie banner, you can control cookies through your browser settings — including blocking or deleting them. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Platform, including checkout, from working. Most analytics and advertising providers also offer their own opt-out tools.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will publish the revised version on our website with a new effective date, and where changes are significant we will tell you through the cookie banner or by email.
